How it works:
This adapter rewires the Sega’s DE-9 connector for compatibility with Japanese PC joystick ports. The controller will show up as a 2 button pad. Start and select are not supported, since they are registered by pressing left+right and up+down. This is not possible using a passive cable, and requires serial data manipulation. Genesis/Mega Drive 3 and 6 button controllers supported, but both only allow for 2 action buttons.
